About Us
OUR PROCESS:
Reformation Doors will come to your home, office, or church for a free estimate. At that time, we will discuss your door’s current condition and what you desire to see it become. Just about whatever you want, we can do! We conduct an in-depth consultation with every customer to get an exact idea of what you want your doors to look like. Every customer is different just like every door is different. Some customers like deep, one-color-all-over staining with little differences in wood tones. Some customers like the more ‘natural’ look and want to see as many variations in wood tones as possible. We discuss all of this with you and show you examples to make sure we get exactly what you want.
Once your staining has been decided, we take exact measurements of your door and doorframe. We return to your home or business within a few days with custom sized wood door blanks or plywood (depending on the situation) stained or painted to look more like a real door. We install the blanks or plywood in your door frame (blanks leave no holes in your doorframe) to secure your home while your door is at our shop. Typically doors take 7 to 10 days from the time we pick up to the time we re-install. Call today for current lead times!
OUR COMMITMENT TO QUALITY:
We use only commercial-grade stains and topcoats. We don’t use the generic stains available at some home improvement stores. We use stains that are tougher, longer lasting, and better than most people are familiar with. Only the best products touch your door. Depending on the stain color you choose and the look you desire, your door could receive anywhere from 1 to 3 coats of stain. Since we take your door down to the raw wood, your stain choices are almost limitless. If you’ve always wished your door were a little lighter or a little darker, we can do that!
Our topcoat is specially formulated to protect wood against nature’s toughest conditions. UV blockers reduce the sun’s graying and fading effects by forming a protective barrier against rain and moisture and the special oils allow expansion and contraction of wood as seasons and temperatures change. Only topcoats with UV inhibitors are used on exterior doors and windows. This is without a doubt the best way to fight against the sun, which produces about 90% of the damage most doors face. Doors and entryways receive at least 3 coats of UV inhibiting polyurethane with hand sanding between each coat for maximum smoothness.
In a day and age when it’s hard to find reliable contractors you can trust, Reformation Doors stands out. We would be more than happy to provide you with referrals from happy customers.
